Terms of use

Effective August 22, 2026. Last updated September 4, 2026. These terms apply to Huusli 1.0.

Service availability

Huusli is an evolving service. Features may change, bugs may occur, and parts of the service may be interrupted for maintenance or improvement.

Eligibility and governing law

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create your own Huusli account.
  • Younger household members may take part only within a household managed by a parent or legal guardian who consents to their participation.
  • These terms are governed by Swiss law.

Using the app

  • Huusli is designed to help households and groups coordinate shared tasks, expenses, reminders, and spaces.
  • You and your home members are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
  • Content you add to a shared Huus may be visible to active members of that Huus.
  • Do not enter passwords, access codes, banking details, government identity numbers, recovery codes, private keys, or other high-risk secrets.

Shared notes and Handbook content

Handbook entries, room notes, and similar shared notes are for coordination only. Huusli is not a password manager, encrypted vault, emergency system, or place to store credentials or high-risk secrets.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Huusli for abuse, harassment, spam, illegal activity, or unauthorized access.
  • Do not enter illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or compromise Huusli or its infrastructure.
  • Do not attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, or other security controls.

External services

Calendar integrations, barcode lookup, authentication, storage, diagnostics, and other external services may have their own terms, outages, and limits. Huusli is not responsible for third-party service behavior.

Premium features and limits

  • Basic includes a complete household workflow with stated capacity limits. Nest is one household-wide subscription purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel in Apple subscription settings; cancellation keeps Nest active until the paid period ends and does not delete household data.
  • A member who is not the billing owner can send the owner one in-app request to enable Nest, at most once every 30 days. This is not a charge and the owner can decline it.
  • Where enabled, an eligible Basic household may voluntarily watch a rewarded ad for a small scanner extension. Ads are never required for the included Basic allowance and are never shown to Nest households.

Account security

  • You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. Huusli signs you in with one-time codes sent to your email, so whoever controls your inbox controls your account.
  • We may suspend or remove access if an account is abused, creates risk for other users, or violates these terms.

No critical-use guarantee

Huusli is not designed for emergencies, safety-critical coordination, medical needs, legal deadlines, or financial custody. Do not rely on Huusli as the only place for important or emergency information.

No warranties

Huusli is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Huusli and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost savings, or missed obligations arising from your use of the app. Liability for any claim is limited to the greatest extent the law allows. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded, such as for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Disputes and governing law

If something feels wrong, contact support@huusli.app first. Most issues can be resolved directly. These terms are governed by Swiss law. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable Swiss law, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.

Stopping use

You can stop using the app and delete your account data from Settings at any time. You can also contact support@huusli.app to request deletion or support.

Feedback

Bug reports, feature ideas, and other feedback you share may be used to improve Huusli without obligation or compensation.
